Heart Dissection 10.21.19 – UW

The Heart Dissection Module is KIMSeattle’s most popular and long-standing program. While the highlight is a full pig heart dissection with cutting-edge medical device demos – this module also includes instruction paired with activities about: heart disease and relevance to their current age, types of exercise and sugar intake, and the sequence of blood flow through the heart. A strong focus throughout the program is exposure to a breadth of future career options.

Program goals are to:

1. teach the anatomy and physiology of the heart,
2. provide an authentic laboratory experience, and
3. expose students to related careers not typically recognized.
